WSU Health Professions Student Center Jeannie Eylar, RN, MSN

Jeannie Eylar, RN, MSN has been the Chief Clinical and Patient Safety Officer at Pullman Regional Hospital since 1993.  She graduated from Washington State University in 1981 with her BSN and in 2009 with her MSN.  She was a part of a team that researched and designed a new state-of-the-art hospital in Pullman.  The new hospital facility opened in 2004 and continues to serve the community to as a community leader of integrated health and healing activities where their values guide and inspire, and science and technology quietly enable people to comfort, encourage, and heal. She serves as a commissioner on the Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission since 2013.  Her role on the commission has been a learning and stimulating experience in the world of regulation and policy development.  She has served on multiple healthcare committees in the state, is a member of the NW Organization of Nurse Leaders, enjoys guest lectures at WSU and LSCS colleges of nursing.  She and her husband Greg live in Colton, WA where their two grown sons also live with their families.  She enjoys reading, gardening, taking road trips, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
