Pre-Nutrition & Exercise Physiology
Nutrition and Exercise Physiology
A unique program that combines two disciplines into one degree.
The Nutrition and Exercise Physiology (NEP) program at WSU is a program designed for students who seek a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology.
The first two years of the curriculum are completed at WSU Pullman and the second two years are completed at the WSU health sciences campus in Spokane. In Pullman, you will be required to complete at least 60 semester credit hours of specific prerequisites and complete most of your University Common Requirements (UCORE) coursework. Your HPSC advisor will serve as both your academic advisor (guiding you toward degree completion) while also helping you choose coursework that will provide a good foundation to further your studies in nutrition and exercise physiology. The full curriculum integrates exercise physiology, human nutrition, biological sciences, and social and psychological sciences. This degree can lead to the credentialing as an Exercise Physiologist (EP) through the American College of Sports Medicine.
